On behalf of ever grateful community and ABIKE ADE FOUNDATION I thank you all for granting the invitation to our 10th Annual event 2019.
Diana, Princess of Wales quote; Nothing brings me more happiness than trying to help the most vulnerable people in society. It is a goal and an essential part of my life – a kind of destiny.
Your presence here today is highly appreciated, you have helped make this year annual event a magnanimous joyous and successful. The Lord will make us in riches and good health. As you go, the Lord will go with you and make his light shine on you and the promises in his word will be fulfilled.
Today’s marks a decade in the life of ABIKE ADE FOUNDATION marking its 10th Annual event and Awards 2019. So, we are here today by the grace of God and we have come to acknowledge Him for this unmatchable grace and these unspeakable gifts of life.
A decade of ever-increasing growth; 10 years of struggle, blackmailing, 10 years of undeniable proof of hard work, but depending on God who has never fail once us.
Now, we want to specially appreciate all our friend’s supporter, colleagues, champion, defender, sponsor both near and far most importantly, our wonderful, amiable, supportive, loving, dedicated, committed and respected Patrons/Matrons of this organization for your support since inception of this commission. We say the memory of your thoughtfulness will be remembered for many a day.
Giving a financial donation as a Patron/Matron to a cause of ABIKE ADE FOUNDATION you believe in is an easy and effective way to show your support. And the facts about charitable giving show that it is a growing trend DESPITE there is recession out there but we believe with God all thing are possible.
Now more than ever before, people outside there are giving generous donations to causes they believe in. However, many people still feel a certain amount of distrust in how their money will be or handled. Integrity is one of our core values, and we have worked and will continue to make this evident in how we handle our finances e.g. Leukemia funds raised in support of Mr Gbenga Odeyemi (was transferred from the charity account directly into ST BATHOLOMEU NHS HOSPITAL ACCOUNT) . Based on the facts about charitable giving, more donors care about where they donate their money to and of what purpose.
The big questions to everyone here tonight is:
(A) how do we give Hope to the poor & vulnerable?
(B) Are we reaching out to people in need & touching their lives?
If the answer is no, let us always had it at the back of our minds to give support to the less privilege and remember it is not too late, let us make a decision and not to look back again relenting for one day ( a standing order/direct debt form will be going round, please kindly complete one and instruct your bank accordingly). No one knows tomorrow, you may be in a position of need or your family member, if you closed your eyes & heart to the needy today, who is going to be there for you tomorrow, think. May God/Allah continue to enrich and grant you all your heart desires.
APPEAL TO OUR PATRON/MATRON
– I am therefore appealing to our Patron & Matron to please kindly donate at least £50 per/month to AAF towards the upkeep and running of Abike Ade Foundation (office rent, business rates, over heads & accountant fees)
– To also kindly donate towards items like: PRINTING PROGRAMME, HALL RENT, CAKE, FOOD, DRINKS, PHOTOGRAPH & VIDEO, AWARDS PLAQUES during our yearly event.
In conclusion, remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of your arm. As you grow older, you will discover that, you have two hands, one for helping yourself, the other for helping others, your good old days are still ahead of you, may you have many of them – Sam Levenson
